Linda L. Katz

2025 Champion of Change, Presented by Girl Scouts San Diego

Linda Katz is a dedicated community volunteer and social activist with a lifelong commitment to equity and justice, particularly for vulnerable women and girls. She is the Founding President of The San Diego Women’s Foundation and Co-Founder of Women Give San Diego. Linda actively supports organizations like UWEAST and serves on advisory councils for Salaam Youth and Community Center and San Diego Center for Children. She has held leadership roles in numerous nonprofits, including LEAD San Diego, Serving Seniors, and Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary, and has chaired major philanthropic events in San Diego. Recognized with numerous awards, Linda and her husband, Mel, have been honored for their deep contributions to the community and cherish their family, including three children and five grandchildren.
