Kristina Virissimo '09

Enterprise Account Director, LinkedIn

I am a San Diego native, and proud graduate of the class of 2009. Many of my successes started at and were a direct cause of my time at OLP. From there I attended UC Berkeley studying Business Communications. Having lived in Rome, Paris and Buenos Aires my sense of wanderlust led me to an initial career in consulting, where I could apply my problem solving to the unique challenges my clients were experiencing.

While living in San Francisco, I saw many of my colleagues and friends make the shift into the Tech space as the industry was booming. I saw a unique opportunity through my own job search on LinkedIn.com, which was to reach out to a former colleague who had just been hired at LinkedIn. I used the platform to ask if his team was hiring. Within 3 weeks of that connection I was hired in the New York City office, packed up my life in the Bay Area and began a new journey in Tech and New York.

After living in New York for 5 years, I moved back to sunny San Diego, where I currently reside as a remote employee of LinkedIn. In my spare time, I love to travel, road bike, spend time at the beach and volunteer. I am part of a huge family that advocates strongly for OLP – many of who attended the academy, and of course my mother, Kathy Virissimo, who many of you see daily working on campus at Common Grounds.
