Kasey Shuda

Senior Director, Strategic Innovation at LA Metro

Kasey Shuda is the Senior Director, Special Projects, in the Office of Strategic Innovation at Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority ( LA Metro), leading projects including the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games planning and an internal Strategic Action Plan. Most recently, Kasey was Director of Construction Relations and Mitigation Programs. Having worked at Metro for over a fifteen years, she is familiar with the planning, implementation and mitigation of major capital projects and large-scale event planning.  

Kasey has demonstrated great leadership and knowledge of project management, construction relations, government affairs, vendor and contract management, safety, and communications issues.   She cut her chops on some of Metro’s most challenging projects including the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project (Carmageddon) and negotiating a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Beverly Hills for the Purple Line Extension Subway Project.   She thrives in challenging and complex situations that involve diverse groups with differing needs, from the dozen construction projects she previously oversaw to the unprecedented planning needs of the 2028 Games.   

Kasey is originally from Philadelphia and received her BS in Business Administration at the University of Richmond and her MS in Transportation Management at San Jose State University.
